An uncalibrated online ruler is merely an approximation. To achieve genuine 1:1 actual size where one centimeter on glass equals one real physical centimeter, a digital measurement tool must account for hardware pixel density, screen aspect ratio, and device pixel scaling. RulerInches delivers true physical scale using optical ISO calibration.
Every display panel has a fixed number of physical sub-pixels per linear inch. Our engine maps CSS viewport coordinates directly to hardware pitch.
Using standard bank cards manufactured to 85.60 mm ±0.05 mm, optical calibration achieves sub-millimeter tolerances on unlisted desktop monitors.
Rather than squinting at tiny tick marks, slide caliper handles A and B to span physical objects with live digital readouts in inches and millimeters.
You can test your screen's actual size calibration immediately by placing any of these everyday standardized objects against the screen ruler:
| Reference Object | Exact Metric Size | Exact Imperial Size | Standard Authority |
